Following these instructions carefully will help your brows or lips heal beautifully and retain pigment. 1. General Aftercare Guidelines - Keep the treated area clean and dry. - Do not touch, rub, or scratch the area. - Avoid sweating, swimming, saunas, and direct sun exposure until fully healed. - Do not apply makeup, creams, or skincare products to the area until healing is complete. - Allow scabs to fall off naturally; do not pick or peel. - Avoid sleeping on your face to prevent irritation. 2. Brows Aftercare - Blot gently with a clean tissue if lymph fluid appears. - Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment as directed by your artist. - Expect the brows to appear darker for the first few days, then lighten during healing. - Healing time is typically 7–14 days, with full color settling after 4–6 weeks. 3. Lips Aftercare - Keep lips moisturized with approved ointment (avoid petroleum jelly unless directed). - Avoid spicy foods, hot drinks, and kissing during the first week. - Use a straw for drinking to reduce irritation. - Do not pick at peeling skin; expect initial swelling and uneven color which will even out. - Healing time is typically 10–21 days, with full color settling after 6–8 weeks. 4. Long-Term Care - Always apply sunscreen on healed PMU to prevent fading. - Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, or exfoliants directly on the treated area. - Annual touch-ups are recommended to maintain color and shape.
